
KSD SARL (Kasai Sud Diamant) is developing its diamond investment project in the Tshikapa area of the Kasai province, Democratic Republic of Congo.
A diamond resource statement dated 30 September 2007 estimates a grand total of 16,495,739 carats across the Kasai concessions and the Tshikapa concession 570, with further exploration targets at Longitshimo and Lumbembe.
Production is fully documented and certified. Cumulative production for 2010–2011 reached 49,637.51 carats — 32,680.45 carats of gem-quality and 16,957.06 carats of industrial diamonds — with parcels certified by the CEEC and exported under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.
