How the Mweka Agri-Project Connects to Its Markets

The Mweka Agri-Project is positioned within a transport network built around the Ilebo–Lubumbashi railway, the Kasai River and key roads.

Located about 25 km from the town of Mweka, the concession sits on the railway that links the region to Lubumbashi in the south-east and to Ilebo to the west, where the Kasai River joins the Congo River for the onward journey to Kinshasa.

Road outlets include Mweka–Bena Makima (about 80 km, the recommended route), Mweka–Ilebo (about 150 km) and Mweka–Luebo (about 75 km). On-site, the operation plans grain silo storage of up to 30,000 tonnes and a maize-flour milling facility, allowing production to move efficiently to the markets of Kinshasa and the wider Kasai.
