Mweka Agri-Project Plans 4–5 MW Mini-Hydro Plant on the Luekedi River

The Mweka Agri-Project plans to secure its own power supply with a mini-hydroelectric plant of 4–5 MW on the Luekedi River, sourced near the project's focus area at Ndambo.
The plant would power farming operations — including irrigation, processing and grain drying — and bring electricity to surrounding communities.
It sits within the operation's broader infrastructure programme alongside access roads, the Ilebo–Lubumbashi railway link, and river transport on the Kasai waterways running from Ilebo to Kinshasa.
